Ok folks, feed me your RA live show knowledge about these 2 songs.
1) Can someone find me a version/versions of New York, New York that is not slowed down, or are all of them played that way?
B) Can someone give me versions of Mockingbird that will melt my face more than the '08 ones I've listened to?
Thank you in advance.

RA & The Sweetheart Revolution: February 13, 2002 has a great NY, NY that goes from slow to fast. And it's better than the lame-ass slow ones lately. More bluesy and brooding than boring.
As for Mockingbird, I'd check 2005 for a face-melter.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for out of that tune but even still, by the time it gets fast after the guitar solo I need a smelling salt to wake myself up. I need something that rips the whole way through.

The letterman version is kickass like that, but I dunno where to find it.

The Rescue Blues from this show is garbage though, bummer. I actually dig the slower version of that song better.
And another one....http://www.archive.org/details/ryanadams2001-12-03
'01 seems to be the year for this tune.

And Ryan wasn't sick of it yet.

That one is pretty solid but these '08 versions are much tighter and I prefer the vocal delivery on the new ones.
1.19.08 is kicking my ass.

Ya, if you're talking about that San Diego set, AMAZING!!!!!!! I haven't been able to stop listening to it for 3 straight months. Pretty rockin Beautiful Sorta, Rescue Blues, and definitely Bartering Lines. Completely love this set. Prob my favorite. Wish he would of played Starlite Diner that night. One of my faves.
