The album's okay, but I really don't expect anything new from Sloan. They make great pop-rock songs; no more, no less. Jay's songs are the best (as they usually are).

Down In The Basement is an obvious Dylan cut, though.

I listened to this last night and liked quite a bit of it. Totally agree about Jay's songs being the best. I'd love to hear a solo album from him.

Me too. Junior Panthers is one of my favorite Sloan songs.

Now I wish I had my Sloan albums on my work computer. :(

That's definitely my favorite Sloan song. "The Lines You Amend" is another great song by Jay.

I think the only way we'd see a Jay solo album is if Sloan break up. I think Chris or Patrick would be more likely to release solo albums.

Yeah I'm surprised to see that all of us like Jay the best. I'd say Chris is my 2nd favorite, though.

It's between Chris and Patrick for me as second place. The Sloan I like is the Jay-type stuff, or tracks like If It Feels Good Do it. Chris has put some really bad songs out there (Pick It Up And Dial It).

I'm really not too impressed with most of Patrick's offerings on the new album. They're ok, but Jay, Chris and even Andrew all provide better tracks. Heres hoping they grow on me.
