Read it here (http://www.reveillemag.com/columns/warp-weft/warp-weft-ryan-adams-cannonball-days).
I had not heard that song before, but I really like it. Is Gold w/ the bonus disc still available anywhere?

That's a good read, thanks for posting littleamen. I don't think the bonus disc is available, except on Ebay I would assume. I picked up Cannonball Days and Rosalie Come and Go off iTunes.

Thanks for the article, littleamen. You can get a used copy of the Gold cd with the bonus disc on Amazon for very cheap:
http://www.amazon.com/Gold-Limited-Ryan-Adams/dp/B00005NWRS
Some sellers are also offering it new. Also, every once in awhile I'll come across a new copy at a record shop too.

Wow, great great article. I loved this bit:
It suddenly seemed to me that while there may be merit in critical appraisal of music by some kind of yardstick of artistic achievement that balances personal bias with a deep knowledge of a broad range of music and a keen aesthetic sense, such judgments in the absence of emotional crisis are a bit like judging the usefulness of a fire extinguisher without the urgent need for one.
It's on side 4 of the LP too.
I was working across the country and saw Gold on CD for cheap and picked it up to give me something better than the radio to listen to while driving around. It really threw me for a loop because I thought it was missing a bunch of songs.

I just picked up a copy of Gold with the bonus disc a couple of weeks ago. Damn, those are some good tunes. Except for the dodgy Kenny G bit in The Bar is a Beautiful Place.

Wow...who knew so much could be written about an average song...at best?
