Like, if MM is a robound relationship from JJ, and then ends up breaking RA's heart, is that going to be good for RA? Oh, yes. Ryan and Leona Naess were engaged. I read it in quite a few places; believe I have old interviews of Ryan where he said they were, too (somewhere on my hard drive). Then he met Parker coz he was gonna teach her how to play mandolin for a film she was in, and they fell for each other and he broke off his engagement with Leona to get with Parker. Leona was quite pissed about it, as you can imagine, and wrote some not nice things about Ryan on her MySpace at the time. Since then, they have stitched up their friendship and she occasionally opens for him (like at the Town Hall in Dec. 2006).

Isn't this true. I'm sure he's attracted to those girls and particularly girls who seem to have a totally different agenda to him. Like actresses on location, him on tour, only in the same place at the same time on a sporadic basis - it's not much to go on. It works for some people but an awful lot it doesn't. I also think that Ryan is the kind of guy who needs a lot of attention (not a doormat ffs). Zsa Zsa Gabor said "Men are like fires, left unattended they go out". True for women as well. I know quite a few people whose marriages have broken up for the too long apart issues.

I'm sure that Ryan going off on tour for months on end last year didn't help his relationship with JJ. Perhaps she never would have met that "other man" if Ryan had stayed at home in Manhattan. (And, from what I heard, she didn't exactly accompany him on tour). That's one of the reasons I don't give much chance for Ryan's thing with MM lasting, at least not going the distance. They will be apart a lot: MM goes on a lot of appearances (there's a website that reports her "doings" -- she goes to club openings in Las Vegas, to clothing store openings in Japan, that sort of thing), so she travels quite a bit. Ryan will be going on tour again at some point this year (maybe?). Then, MM is sure to be off on film sets if she gets any film roles in the future. Although I guess Ryan could semi-move to wherever she's at and then be with her at night at least. Still, difficult. The people who are couples and both are entertainers and make their relationship work have my admiration: two I can think of right off -- Sarah J-P and Matthew Broderick and then there's Will Smith and his wife, Jada (but I think she puts her career on the back burner a lot for the sake of their marriage and kids).

I hate to say it but I think Ryan needs a "status GF" (for some reason; does he have shaky self-esteem?) which means either someone in the entertainment biz (actress, musician) or an "It Girl" (as JJ was, although I hadn't heard of her until she got with Ryan!).

Mandy's 24 - she not going to put her career on the backburner (and why should she if she doesn't want to). Neither can I see Ryan semi-moving to be where she is. He has his career to think of and he has to tour I'm sure. Neither can I see Mandy trolling along in the tour bus. :lol

I think Ryan needed someone quickly to bolster his spirits after JJ dumped him, and Mandy was right there. There were rumors he helped out with the production of her album in late 2006. How much you wanna bet they've been emailing each other ever since? Email is a nice, quiet way to flirt with other girls behind your GF's back. (Don't ask me how I know this...LOL).

MM prob thinks she might be a rebound relationship for Ryan, as I get the feeling she is pretty smart, so is refusing to totally commit to him as an Official GF. That's the sense I'm getting from all this. I could well be right, too, (I hate to sound so egocentric, but...) as I predicted months and months ago that JJ and Ryan would last two years (well, I think they lasted two years and two months).

One question: Has it ever been truly confirmed that Ryan "has" ADHD? I've only heard rumors of such. I also heard rumors he was in therapy after the PP breakup, where it might have been confirmed that he does have ADHD. I believe you have to go at least through a couple months of therapy before it's truly confirmed you have ADHD. It's not like you can just take a blood test for it. (Not meaning to diss what you wrote at all; coz I've certainly read it tons of other places -- just wondering if it's true is all). So many rumors surround this guy and sometimes he adds to them himself -- you know, keeping that "The Mythology of Ryan Adams, Rock & Roll Personality" thing going.

Ryan himself I'm sure has mentioned that he had ADHD (maybe not in so many words) and that he had always taken medication to feel normal (and I don't mean the illegal stuff - I mean medication for ADHD). I have no concrete proof to offer you but if you look at his behaviour it ticks all the right boxes.

I agree with everything else you say. I always thought he'd been having some sort of relationship with MM since back September time. He's no angel and yeah email flirting would fit the bill. Maybe JJ wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine. Who knows.

I agree with you: his hyperness, and his very quick, intense phases (like, the blog thing lasted, what, 2 months?), his seeming need to always be doing, sure do point to ADHD. Then there was another of his phases: the little films. I wonder if he's still making them? Doubt it somehow, or he'd probably want to post them somewhere to show them to everybody.

In one of his YouTube comments, Ryan said he was on anti-depressants (this was after the JJ Dump Episode); maybe he got put on those fast just to keep him feeling somewhat okay while he went off on that little tour in January (which is when he posted that comment).

Oh, yeah, I get the feeling he's been flirting with MM for months. There was the episode where she came and visited him on tour last year too. I think that was late September. (Yes, I do keep track of these things, and, yep, I got too much time on my hands, for sure, but I find it fun...it's a combo of being a detective and a researcher at the same time).

Maybe even JJ knew about the MM flirtation somehow and it could have contributed to the breakup. It's one of the reasons I just have no desire whatsoever to have Ryan as a boyfriend; I think he's suspect as Boyfriend Material. Agyness is cute, very, but I can't see Ryan going out with a blond. He seems to prefer dark-haired girls or redheads. Supposedly the first GF, Melanie, was a red-head too. Word has it they were together THREE years. Amazing that his first serious relationship would be the longest, but perhaps his life wasn't so hectic back then. Try touring half the year, and keeping your GF at home, happily. Didn't seem to work for Ryan, last year. I wonder how he and Parker coped? They seemed pretty solid until the end, and it seemed like it was Ryan's drug use that finally pushed Parker away.

Love PP. Always have, since I saw her in Party Girl years ago. Great actress, tons of character, classic beauty. I respect MM -- she's had a tremendous career considering her age. But I find her acting just way, way too cutesy. Granted, I've only seen her guest starring on SCRUBS and then on Entourage, both times of which she was sickeningly "cutesy" and she has this high annoying voice and these fake, nice expression thingies she does with her face that get on my nerves. To me, both Nicole K. and JJ look very prim and stiff. Nothing sexy about them, but maybe it's just me. (Guys I think find them sexy, I hear, or most of them). To me, both of them look very uptight and "held in" somehow. Classically beautiful, "I guess," but not like real life breathing feeling women. Umm, I think MM looks "okay" there. (The comments are interesting -- people arguing over if she is chunky or not!). Her looks are too girl-next-door All American for my tastes. I like exotic brunettes, like Eva Green (another Bond girl!). And this is coming from a totally hetero girl; so I am speaking just aesthetically. The new Bond girl, Olga K (I refuse to try to spell her last name) is gorgeous and what I like about her is that she is so chameleon-like. If you google her, you'll come up with 100 different images and 40-some different "looks." You can see why she was a successful model for years; she's branching out into acting now. (There's a few semi-racy photos of her on the web, too).

So MM was in NYC on June 2nd? Where was Ryan? I take it not by her side at this event. I think she's smart, and refusing to be his Official GF until she's more sure of him.

I thought it was interesting that she'd be at a fashion event in NYC, and not take Ryan along as her, uh, "guest," at least....unless she would think it would cause too much of an uproar or is reluctant to be seen publicly with him or a combo of the two. It's a bit late for worrying over that, seems to me, after *all* those photos surfaced of them together around L.A. back a couple/few weeks ago. I couldn't believe how many websites posted them, and some had differing versions of the same time they were seen out together, which makes me think it was one or two papparazzi selling photos of them off to these various celeb-gossip sites.

You'd think Ryan would be reluctant to do the "move in thing" so soon after his last one ended abysmally, but perhaps he's a glutton for punishment or that lonely or has more faith that this one will last. Breakups are SO much harder when the parties involved live together. I think that's a BIG step, this soon, and it doesn't sound to me like one MM would be willing to take this soon if she's unwilling to even take him along as her guest to a fashion event (which Ryan obviously loves, the way he was so excited during Fashion Week back in February). Just my musings over the matter. Could be Ryan is just looking for a new place for himself that's bigger coz he's got so much stuff (and he sure does that -- I always thought the photos of his current apartment looked cluttered).
