A little rain couldn't dampen the spirits of those who gathered to catch Vampire Weekend (http://www.vampireweekend.com/), Kid Sister (http://www.myspace.com/kidsister), Born Ruffians (http://www.bornruffians.com/), and special guest A-Trak (http://www.djatrak.com/) play a free Central Park SummerStage (http://www.summerstage.org/) show Saturday afternoon/evening-- especially when said show was emceed by none other than Captain Anti-Gloom himself, Andrew W.K. (http://www.andrewwk.com/) Indeed, the hard-partying rocker even joined the drenched Vampire Weekend boys for a cover of Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More". Take that, precipitation!
Those Vamps keep their live thing going through the warm months, with a Pitchfork Music Festival (http://www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com/) touchdown scheduled for July 19. Kid Sister, A-Trak, and Born Ruffians have them some tour dates as well. All will be revealed further down on this page here.
