I only just realised she was Margaret Throsby's daughter the other day. I'm clearly a bit dim; they actually look very much alike.

She's been a host on ABC Radio for yonks. I think she's hosting some program on ABC Classic FM these days. My mother used to listen to her a lot, so that's probably why I'm familar.

i wikipedia'd her, she sounds like a cool person.
Her association with the ABC began when she joined its announcing staff in 1967. Since then she has overcome major barriers to the accepted roles for women in broadcasting. After a dearth, for more than a decade, of major roles for women in broadcasting, Margaret broke the sound barrier for a new generation and became the first of them to read national radio news, and in 1978 was the first woman to present national television news.
