Okay, so this is a bit cheesy, but who cares.
I had to go do an interview for one of our mags today and I met the most amazing person. He runs the NSW Police Forensic team and was responsible for co-ordinating the international forensic teams in southern Thailand after the tsunami, in Bali after the bombings and in East Timor.
He had the most facinating stories to tell about the tsunami and what was involved in matching all those thousands of bodies to their families. He had me in tears with some of his stories. He also finances an orphange in Kao Lak which looks after 32 kids whose parents were killed in the tsunami.
The interview was scheduled to run half an hour, I ended up being there for two.
Eh, sometimes I quite like my job.
