i think that they are overhyped, all the british kids in australia tried to tell me it was the great album of the last 20 years, it put me off

word...i hadn't even heard of them before i saw them on snl & thought they were great...i had no idea it was billed as "the most anticipated album released ever in the U.K."...it will be interesting to see if songs on a follow up can compare...did i just read someone in the band quit recently?

Its catchy but fairly disposable stuff for me. And I agree, the hype actually put me off a bit before I'd even heard it.

Yeah, way too much hype. It was called a "classic" dammit! How can a newly released album possibly qualify for classic status?! I've boycotted it ... I know, I'm a judgmental bitch :D

What the NME jump on and captain a boat of hype? I don't believe it.
I wonder how much the AM's label paid the NME.
