For any Manics completest it's good, the quality of the demos are not so good, a little rough, but James voice really comes through especially on Small Black Flowers, and the DVD is good too, Sean actually speaks.

I haven't seen him for a few years, so I've been waiting for a Winnipeg tour date since The Animal Years came out.
I've actually only seen him once before. He was opening for Sarah Harmer a couple of years ago and became and got his CD right after the show (I had never heard of him before that night). I had just started going out with my girlfriend at the time, and she didn't go with me. I played her the CD and she's been bugging me to keep an eye out for a Winnipeg show every since. :)
I actually was pretty sick that concert night and was contemplating skipping out on the show. What a mistake that would have been!

how do you like the creative? ive been thinking about switching to something other than an iPod once mine dies...
I love it after my first day. I had to get it since I signed up for Yahoo! Music Unlimited. The files from there don't work on iPods.
The player seems much more flexible with what file types you can add to it. Both video and music files.
I was able to get a new 30gb on ebay for $200 shipped. Not a bad deal.
i have one too, i love it. never went the ipod route, always creative for me.

My girlfriend got a Creative Zen Micro 6GB last year and loves it. We only had one problem -- after about a month or so, it wouldn't charge anymore. After doing some diagnosis via email with Creative support, we had to exchange the unit. The new unit they sent us has been working trouble-free ever since.
I think she likes the Creative one because it's got a bit of heft, as opposed to the iPod.

Funny, I've heard that count in so many times and never realised it was Brad.
And her voice does get overwhelmed by the production, doesn't it, which is a shame because there are some great songs on the album. Dirty Little Wiggly Fingers is a standout for me and Mary is just beautiful.

I love that album. I went through something of an obsessive period with it some years back. I particularly love her cover of Jackson Browne's "These Days".
parallel lines is awesome. i love hanging on the telephone. it's cool, because i don't have that much other stuff that is so danceable and fun.
It's an awesome album. One of my favorite road trip albums. I have fond memories of my friend and I singing Hanging on The Telephone and Picture This at the top of our lungs while blazing down the highway. :D

Wow. That's some pretty big praise. I hope I like it at least half as much as you did. So far all I've heard off it are the Jackson Browne cover and "I'll Keep It With Mine," which I think was written by Bob Dylan.

Yep, it's a Dylan cover. Almost all the songs are covers on Chelsea Girl, I believe she only co-wrote one, "It Was a Pleasure Then" which she wrote with Lou Reed and John Cale. This opposed to her other albums in which she wrote most of the songs. Anyway, hope you like it. :) If you do, definitely check out Desertshore. Another great album, possibly my favorite of hers.

I've ordered Woke on a Whaleheart by Bill Callahan so hopefully that should arrive soon. It's had very good reviews.
Got Trace by Son Volt which is great and Living with War by Neil Young which I think has been a mistake.
