This is a guy I've known about for a while. Someone pointed him out to me on another forum. I guess he's kinda sad bastard/country, I guess. This albumn (assuming they're the same recordings) was self-released by this guy a year or so ago. Tis damn good.

There's a sad story to this guy:

Perkins's melancholy songs reflect the personal tragedy he has experienced over the years. His father died of AIDS in 1992. His mother, a photographer, was on board a flight that was flown into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. His debut album, Ash Wednesday, a chronologically sequenced album of songs written before and after his mother's death, was released in February 2007 by XL Recordings with a lead single called "All The Night Without Love".

His father was the actor Andrew Perkins who did something or other in 'Psycho'.

Ha, Anthony Perkins. He played Norman Bates.

And I just listened to some songs on his MySpace - pretty good.

This is a fantastic album. I bought in on vinyl and got a free 256kbp download as compliments. It's an album one must be in the mood for, but damn good.
