Pearls On A String for me. It's simple and sounds honest.

Sun Also Sets, it's weird to be sure of a favourite song on an album of his, but there it is.

'The Sun Also Sets' for me too. The second half is almost as ace as racing gerbils. :upyours

I voted "I taught myself..." because of hearing it live for the first time. It touched me.

That being said, though, I think the best track on the record is "The Sun Also Sets".

I Taugh Myself How To Grow Old (Although I think the vocal delivery is so much better on the live versions.)

The Sun Also Set and Goodnight Rose are the other standouts to me.

Yes. I think it's immediately obvious that those two will stand the test of time with fans too.

we'll have to dissect the two of them lyrical, and rhythmically to see who's on top..

I would appear to be the only one who likes "These Girls". I love the lyrics to this one.

I think eventually. Going in chronolocigal order of release, so Easy Tiger would be last.

That's right. :upyours The Survivor contests are a bit different to these sort of 'name your favourite' polls - the Survivor one forces you to make choices between songs that might not necessarily be the ones you like best.

I taught Myself...
Are getting the most plays for me. When I first heard "Halloweenhead" I didn't like it very much, then I LOVED it, now I'm over it. Although the line, "head full of tricks n' treats..." does tend to stick in my head. Yesterday morning, I couldn't sleep because "I Taught Myself..." was stuck in my head. I had to get up to listen to it. This is a sure sign that this is a really good record. "Cold Roses" is still tops for me, but "ET" has a lot to offer and I suspect some of it is beneath the surface.

My friend Bryan, who doesn't listen to any Ryan at all, heard "The Sun Also Sets" yesterday while we were editing a film and absolutely loved it.

It's such a great song. :upyours

Film editing, yeah? How interesting. What type of projects are you working on?

We have a "studio" (a term we use very loosely) called Fly By Night Studios. We're making one short film every day in the month of July. In fact, if you have any ideas, we will film literally anything. Seriously.

Since you mentioned film, Sun Also Sets does remind me of a song that would be at some really crucial point in a movie, very affective.

I love that everyone loves The Sun Also Sets as much as I do. What a painful song. Talk about relating :-)

looks like the sun also sets is a clear winner!

....I went with it too, but it was a close call with I taught myself how to grow old ...which has grown on me more and more. I loved the sun also sets from the beginning and when I heard it live. (I even recorded it on my camera)
Third place goes to everbody knows :)

I'd like to see how a "Call Me On Your Way Back Home" vs. "I Taught Myself How To Grow Old" poll would go. Two of my favorites right there.

Its a very hard choice...Goodnight Rose, Pearls on a String, I Taught Myself How to Grow Old...

but now I have to relisten to the Sun Also Sets because it didnt really jump out at me, but it appears to be the favorite!

:upyours OMG grabbed me immediately, but with subsequent listens, The Sun Also Sets is the better song.

i guess i'm alone with rip off. i love that he is unapologetic about his feelings and takes the high road of being honest vs. saying what the other might like to hear. sounds like a very complicated relationship.

The Sun Also Sets. It was tough, though. I really dig the new album. Two would be a runner up for me.

I guess I'm alone on Rip Off. I love his unapologetic approach to taking the high road, even if it hurts
