What the.....?????
I've heard the Rage rumour, but not the Rove one. That would be great - although Rove isn't the world's best interviewer.

Yeah, it only occurred to me after I posted the comment about Rove's interviewing style that they would probably just be musical guests anyhow.
Too much pre-order excitement I think, haha.

I haven't been watching too much lately. Although last time I saw abit I noticed he seems to be having majority of his guests on the couch for a reasonable duration, including musicial guests, Instead of just the last five where they play a tune and he shakes their hand.
Anyone watch rove enough to know if the shows been altered in a permanent way and this is becoming the norm? 'cause if this is the case an interview (really chit chat) would seem likely.

Rove is an Australian TV host, he was on Jay Leno not so long ago - you can watch it here to see who he is

Rove Live is a weekly talk show on Network Ten, and is syndicated on TV3 in New Zealand. The show involves celebrity guests, publicity stunts, variety segments, local and international comedians and live bands.
It's like our version of Letterman or the Tonight Show I guess.

I am going to try and see if I can get in the Rove audience. I just called in a favour! I need to find out before I book flights though because that means that I will have to hit Melbourne a day earlier than I had planned.

Apparently, in a radical move, he will be performing "Two" on the Rove stage. Other guests will be Megan Gale (that should cheer Ryan up) and Hamish and Andy.

Hahaha. What make you think he will perform 'two'.
I'd like him to be interviewed and do that '$20 in 20 seconds' thing they do. Ryan's pretty quick witted and will probably come up with some quirky answers. Either that or he will tell Rove to f#@% off. Be interested to hear his answer of 'Who would you turn gay for?'
I'd love to go to the taping but it means missing out on my Goddaugters birthday. Fly in Monday instead. See you all there!
Sydneyfan

Haha, that would be very funny. I think Ryan would just get confused and possibly have a meltdown. Although I would really like to know who'd he'd turn gay for as well.

I watched Rove for the first time in ages last week, and the musical guest (Darren Hayes) was interviewed. I don't know whether that means RA will be interviewed or whether it was a special case, Darren being an Aussie.

The Rove website doesn't really say sadly. It just lists RA and TC as guests and says which song they will be performing.

grrr. it annoys me when foreign artists always seem to get intereviewed but such annoying corporate tv types. I bet rove has no idea who ryan adams is...
i'm always left wondering after such shows - what kind of impression these international artists must leave Australia with of our TV / radio etc.

Ahhhh the possibilities. I went to the taping of Denton when Dave Grohl was interviewed. He went for a good 45 mins and a lot was cut out. Dave was a great interviwee though. I think Ryan may be a little self-conscious in those situations. Strangely, I think he can come across as very shy at times.

I know for a fact that some TV shows did look into interviewing Ryan but one in particular lacked faith in their host being able to make something of the interview considering Ryan's reputation as being a difficult subject. Shame. I would love to see him get some talk time while he is here!

That is a pity. That's why I think Denton would have been great - he's intelligent enough to avoid the cliched question and he'e genuinely interested in learning more about the people he's interviewing.
I still remember that funny/sad interview with Rene Rivkin - totally revealing and compelling.
