I've got to tell ya how disappointed I am in Lost Highway with the "Easy Tiger" vinyl edition.
OK, it's cool that they pressed it on translucent orange vinyl, but the packaging is a joke! It's not in a cardboard sleeve, but in a heavy plastic envelope. with a 48 inch foldout with lyrics and pics. The CD cover image isn't anywhere in the vinyl package and there is absolutely no bonus material on it either. It's so disappointing because Lost Highway did such a great job packaging "Cold Roses" and "JCN". Both of those were pressed on heavy, 180g vinyl, sounded great and were packaged in a gatefold sleeve. "ET" is flimsy and just sounds OK.
Anyone else pick it up on vinyl?

yeah, i'm going to have to agree with you about it. i personally like the layout of the artwork in the vinyl, i just wish it would have been in a cardboard sleeve.

yeah, i woulda preferred a real jacket myself...but, you gotta like that it is different! AND, for coloured vinyl, it sounds FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

so its a real thin pressing?
you would have thought the least they could have done would be to include the various bonus tracks on it... ?

For a colored pressing, it's sounds good. But compared to the previous Lost Highway pressings, it just sounds thin and flat.
They could've at least thrown in a bonus 7" or something. I just feel cheated that we didn't even get the cover art. And the packaging we did get is just so orange. I mean, it's really orange. OK, I know, I'm starting to sound like a complainer, but I just feel that those of us who go out of our way for vinyl, should be rewarded. Instead, they give people who download it in a stale, compressed format a bonus track.
My record store owner said that it was limited to 2500 or 5000 copies on orange vinyl. Does anyone know if that's true?

it is definitly limited, im thinkin 2000 or less.
we sold out at my record store on release day and have been ordering it daily since then and havent been able to get any in.
kinda sucks.
i would expect a better 180g pressing further down the road. not anytime soon tho.

Yeah, its not that great.
The 2005 releases were the best vinyls.

I imported one from the US. I'm seriously in love with it, it just seems more righteous. :)
