Unless it started really late, this show should be finishing shortly...

Supposedly the show did start late, don't know by how much though. (It's 11:30 pm in LA now.)

Cheers P. I was starting to think this show was a figment of our collective imaginations.

Ha, its cave Jack. Not light. Red light means something entirely different.
And to answer the question, I'm not sure. Hopefully we'll get the setlist and reviews in shortly.

Apparently, Two was played before Off Broadway.

Magnolia Mountain was pretty extended, with a 'Bird Song' interlude (no lyrics). I heard 'Wharf Rat' during one song (again, no lyrics), but can't remember which tune.

Now that I think about it, 'Wharf Rat' was during Peaceful Valley.
'Two' was definitely played.

i was 10 rows back and dead center and thought it was one of the most enjoyable shows i've ever seen. it was the 7th time i've seen ryan, and probably the best. his voice is just perfect this tour. i've been keeping up with the setlists, so i knew what to expect, but wasn't really surprised by anything. the highlights for me were....
"the sun also sets" - my fav song at the moment, and holy fuck when he screams the line "just be SUUUUUURRRRE" - chills
"blue hotel" - been loving this one lately
"dear john" - never one of my favs on jcn, but live and with all the harmonies, it kills
"taught myself how to grow old" - so damn good with the full band
"peaceful valley" - again, not one of my favs, but they have a great jam worked out for this one live
"this is it" - saw they played this last week and was hoping to hear it - sounded great
"goodnight hollywood blvd" - came out to the front mic and stood for this one
"magnolia mountain" - ummm, ryan and neal have spent a little time playing guitar together
neal casal is really making this band something special in my opinion. you might not like his solo stuff, but he is a fucking ace of a sideman...consistent perfect harmonies, and very tasteful playing. i'm a huge fan.
there were electric guitars on the side of the stage, and amps set up on stage, but not played at all. anybody know anything about this? it REALLY got my hopes up that they would have an electric encore or something, but not the case. maybe in the northern cali dates? we'll see.
ryan was fairly talkative and being funny throughout the night...unlike how he seemed to be at the austin show last weekend. did the long band intros, and graboff got up and walked to the front of the stage to take a bow...pretty funny.
i didn't get the poster, but the girl i was with did...it was of the griffith park observatory and the stars above it formed the rose. not near as cool as some of the others have been.

Sounds a good show - I too think Neal is terrific and a real asset to the band.

:upyours I totally agree. Neal's harmonies are phenomenal. I miss his vocals in the pre-Neal Cardinals shows.

great, great fucking show!
everything was stellar, biggest highlights were peaceful valley, dear john, goodnight hollywood.., and of course, magnolia mountain.
i got jon and the pianist (sorry dont know his name :-( ) to autograph my poster, neal waved at me as he passed but he was with his girl and i was much too shy to bother him for a signature.
cant get over the show, does anyone know where i can find the bootleg?

the pianist (sorry dont know his name
Jamie 'Candyman' Candiloro. Is he British? I'm guessing he's the guy with a British accent on the recordings of the recent shows.

On the subject of Neal - I prefer his harmonies to anything that Cat Popper did. Sorry guys. But then I even like Neal solo. In a quiet laid back sort of way he's really cute.

but i miss the female vocals.
neal is the shit, and a really nice guy, it seems like.
but i just really miss Cat. i watched the ACL video this morning and just kind of pined for cat to return.
i'll add this to my list of things that will never happen.

I think it's a tighter band now than it was back then with Cat but that's just my opinion.

Cat was good, but I'd rather have JP.

the JCN cardinals were the shit.
and yeah, they're way tighter now.
so it's a good thing.
though ryan and neal have way better interplay than ryan and jp.
they were both just kind of doing their own thing.
and neal's playing and tone is similar to ryan's, so they just mesh really well together.

Great pictures!
This was my first concert to Ryan Adams. :wave I missed him last year when he was at the HOB in San Diego. (I really kick myself now for not being able to go) I can't believe what an amazing concert this was. Sounded soooooo much better than any of his CD's I have/heard. I can't wait to be able to hear this concert.
Any chance of maybe getting large copies of those pictures? Almost tempted to drive up north and say with family to see his NorCal shows. :clap

They were orginally posted on RAA and I'm not sure whether the person who took them reads this board.
