Thats so weird, i just finished it 3 days ago. i read it again because of ryan's song.
There's a movie called the Moderns and the Gertrude Stein character says to Hemingway,"Hey Ernest, the sun also sets". It made me wonder if ryan ever saw the movie.
There's also a really good line in it when someone is explaining how they went bankrupt, "Two ways, gradually then suddenly"

What a great book. As I intepret it "The sun also sets" doesn't appear to make reference to it though. I have been curious whether there is a link between the two.
