So says Pitchfork.

Neil Young must be where Ryan Adams gets it. The man just does not stop working, whether it means releasing live albums, the graphic novelization of Greendale, or taking part in benefit shows, a la his forthcoming September 9 appearance at Farm Aid at NYC's Randall's Island.

Now, we can add even more music to that seemingly endless list, since Young recently unveiled a few scant details about his next studio full-length.

Titled Chrome Dreams II (inspired by a lost album from 1977 that went by the same title sans "II"), the album will feature three previously written songs and seven new ones, and is over 60+ minutes long. And two of those songs clock in over ten minutes, one at 13:00 and another at 18:30.

Though it appears Chrome Dreams II will come out on Reprise, the album's release date is still unknown.

I love Chrome Dreams I (I guess that what's called now) so this should be good. I just hope it's going to be a heavy record with Crazy Horse. His longer songs are only any good with them, I find. :rock

Thanks for the heads up, by the way. Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in the same year (again)? Wow-wow. <3

So is he releasing this as well as the box set? I really hope the answer is yes.

Also, thanks for the link, Blueone.

Edit: Frack! It won't download for me.

At least we have a new record until then.

I wonder what the 3 previously written songs are... ?

I still wonder if they are ever going to release the original Old Ways, recorded years before the official release.
