In the new issue of Blackbook magazine they have an article on Ryan. This is taken from it:

"Adams thinks what he is doing now is so important that he's capturing the whole long, strange trip, an effort recalling Robert Frank's edgy documentary reportage during the making of Exile. In addition to directing his own home movies about the band, he's got two camermen on the case: Phil Andelman - the former tour lensman for Adams's favorite, the Grateful Dead & Casal."

Then they make a note that Neal is the one that also took the cover picture for Easy Tiger and that Andelman took the photos that are in the magazine. Has this been brought up before? This was the first I'd heard of it, but thought it may have been because of all the box set talk going on. I'd love to see some of these videos. I can only imagine some of the things that would be included.

Plus, this may just be wishful thinking here, but if both of the others take photos, how great would it be to have a book of photos come out? It doesn't have to be a huge book, but I love looking at pictures & would like to see Ryan, the band & there view of life on the road in general taken by them.

Nice find.

Do you remember the September Documentary that was released with Jacksonville? I wonder what the hell ever happened with all that footage.

it's being handled by some company called Three On The Tree productions.
i hope to god they release the entire thing.
even if it's like, 3 DVDs. i want to see EVERYTHING about the making of that album. even the fights. (there had to be fights...)

i watch September just for fun. i want more.

no idea.
i debated emailing the prod. company. i should.

i wonder if Ryan doesnt want it out because that's set in 2005, and that was argubly the depths of his addictions, and judging from the promo, there is a LOT of drinking going on.

methinks that might have something to do with it?

Vanity too - he doesn't want to be reminded or remind his fans just how bad he looked (and acted) during that period of his life.

Last word was, Danny scrapped the project (per Ryan's request). He moved on to do the new Pearl Jam DVD.

So September is all we are getting for the time being.

after further research, that's a Gibson Barney Kessel model, so it makes sense that it's named barney.

is that the beat-to-shit black one?
if so, that guitar is so cool, it doesnt need a name.

no guitar is as cool as a beat to shit strat or tele.

hmm, yeah I suppose I could see that. It is a shame though that so much of this stuff exists and it's just sitting around never to see the light of day.

& thank you for the link, I'm looking through all the photos now, I love it. :)

is that article at the top of the thread an old one or a new one? coz if its old it could just be the news article about September (before they scrapped it), if you know what i mean.

but if its new then thats awesome, i love behind the scenes stuff

danny clinch - september

if it's something it's something new, not the danny clinch one. phil andelman is a different guy.
