Hey kiddies,
So the Kzoo show happened on the 24th. I drove from A2 to Kzoo and chilled at Bell's by myself... $3.75 20oz draft Two-Hearted IPA?! YES! Anyways, the show in my opinion was much better than the Ann Arbor one. It basically included all of the songs played there, plus some nice moments like Ryan playing Hallelujah and Why Do They Leave by himself on stage, acoustic, with no lighting. And at one point (during the solo part) we all kinda rushed the stage, although I don't really remember why or how but eventually we were told to get back to our seats. Also my seats were way way better (since I only bought one ticket), row 2 on the ride side. I recommend seeing Ryan by yourself, the girl next to me was a single ticket too and we chatted and I ran into another fan who had sat next to me in A2, so I wasn't too lonely. Plus I was drunk...
Hence, I don't have an entirely accurate memory regarding the setlist order. Anyone care to post?
After the show, Ryan stood outside the entrance to his bus while fans lined up to chat/take pictures/get things signed. I thought this was pretty cool of him and I haven't seen him do this before (I've only been to two shows). I got to take overly-excited photos with the Cards & Ryan. Did anyone see the guy take a pic with Ryan who was wearing the exact same striped shirt? Silly.
Also, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has "break songs" AKA songs that you know Ryan will play live that you can go smoke/get a drink/pee during and not be totally bummed you missed. Mine, for instance, is Off Broadway. I personally don't really like this song, or understand why it was revived for Easy Tiger; so I take my cig/pee break during it.
On another "am I the only one?" note (I'm kinda new to the board) - I make a new playlist after every show/tour I see, of the songs that he played. I feel like seeing certain songs played live that I wasn't necessarily *into* makes me appreciate them way more, and listening to them after a show just makes them sound that much better and appreciate all the little subtleties that you pick up during the concert.
Carry on.
