I was there... I'm a Junkies fan and thought they were amazing. Though Ryan Adams got the loudest cheer of the night so I fear there were more Adams fans than Junkies.
And the Albert Hall was half empty too. Which was weird cos I've only ever seen it packed to the rafters.

Pity a band as good as the Junkies couldn't fill the venue. :\
Show sounds great.

Well, it is fooking HUGE. And they had problems with the floor seating which wouldve explained the half empty floor as everyone crowded to the front like it was GA.
The Junkies also played a :ra song but I can't remember for the life of me which song it was cos my date kept talking to me during it. :lol

yeah, they played in my time of need, it was GORGEOUS!!!
really really lovely gig.
ryan played for most of it, sang for some of it.
he sang all of cheap is how i feel and 200 miles, as well as verses of some songs like the robin weep one in so lonesome i could cry.
oh, it was wonderful :)

ryan did a great job of singing it. i love margo's voice on the album version, but ryan did good on that one.
i was so happy that they played it.

oh yeah, and margo called ryan sexy and said that if she was 10 years younger she'd have sung misguided angel about him, because he is one.

I'm gonna guess that embarassed the hell out of him. Sweet though.

Very sweet :upyours.
Reminds me of when Elton John called him "O Fabulous One" and he replied "I'm gonna stand here and blush for like 10 minutes".

aww, I love that whole performance. It's one of my favorites. I've never been a huge Elton John fan, but with Ryan singing the songs they seemed a million times better to me.

I didn't like Elton's renditions of RA's songs though :\

Me neither. I thought he butchered My Sweet Carolina.

they weren't the best, I didn't like Answering Bell at all. But Ryan did great & I liked watching them interact with one another, it's not often you see Ryan as the more quiet humble one.

i forgot to mention that santa was there too.
i think margo liked to make ryan blush. it was sweet.
bq- ryan was definitely playing the more quiet humble one last night. he seemed shy and nervous to begin with, but by the end everyone onstage seemed to be a bit more relaxed.

Maybe it's one of those things, when you take him out of a situation where he knows everyone loves him & is there for him he's a bit more nervous/shy. He did it with Elton, CBJ & I'm going to guess Phil Lesh.

Oh I wish I could have been there....He is basically really shy I think. If not, he plays little boy lost to perfection.

yeah, he is pretty shy. But I just meant how he acts with others compared to at his own shows when he goes off on his random stories or when he's in one of his moods etc.. To me at least there seems to be a difference in how he acts onstage playing his own show vs. with other people.

This is just a clip from the Pete Paphides review (but he always gives Ryan good reviews) in The Times. I loved the wounded coyote voice...
Inevitably, it was Adams who stole the show.
Inconspicuous as he tried to look, he brought his best wounded-coyote voice to 200 Miles with the assured air of a man who had been rehearsing for this moment since the age of 16. Returning with the band for the encore, he assumed vocal duties for their 1990 single ’Cause Cheap is How I Feel.

It was for Crossroads, a TV show.
Answering Bell has the setlist:

So does anyone know when the Trinity Sessions Revisited is going to be released? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

It won't be released in the U.S. till January 2008. It has already been released in the UK, but that would be encoded for UK DVD players. And it was released in Canada yesterday.

You can order it through Amazon(which I did), but since it's an import it won't actually come until mid-November or so.
