Has anyone seen them yet on this tour? I'm going tonight in MPLS. Very excited to see them as well as Ryan Bingham, who is opening for them.

According to the tour page "this will be a ROCK show", so I'm assuming Minneapolis is not acoustic.

The only one I have is The Dirty South, but I'm sure Blue would be able to help you out.

After last night's show I've determined conclusively that the DBT are just never gonna win me over. I tried, really I did.

At least you gave them a shot. Some bands you just can't get into regardless of how hard you try.

I can't wait to see them on Monday. I better get to hear "Panties in Your Purse."
I was initially saddened when Isbell left the band, but I think we got two pretty awesome bands out of the split.

Dirty South, it is a fuller and richer album then Decoration Day.

Seriously??? They rip live, last night was my 4th time seeing them and they once again brought it...hard.
Glad you gave them a try though.

With both tried, Kirsten....it's just not meant to be. I still love "Outfit", though. If anyone is interested, I posted my thoughts on the Minneapolis show here (http://tonyaamen.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!21AF156C391AF80E!1052.entry). And yes, please feel free to laugh at the last paragraph where I describe the belly-flop I performed in the middle of the bar. Yes, there are bruises.

This is not the Drive-By Truckers I fell in love with. Jason Isbell is doing his solo thing now and left with nearly all of my favorite DBT songs. I saw them at Gypsy Teat Room in Dallas a couple years ago and they were bad ass with Isbell.
Albums: The writing is better on most of Decoration Day, but the music is better on Dirty South.

I love Isbell's new record, by the way.

Ha. Yeah, I thought for sure it would be on YouTube by now. Instant classic. And I was completely sober at the time.
