Monday is my birthday & my husband and I were just going to to dinner & a movie because there's a really nice movie theater about 45 minutes from us that has "VIP" seating which includes leather seats you can recline in & they also allow you to drink alcoholic beverages in those particular areas. I've been wanting to see Gone Baby Gone, but since it's been out for a bit now, they only have 3 screenings of it and the times all kinda suck. We could make one of them, but it would be pushing it.
Then there's Fred Claus. My husband wants to see this & has been wanting to see it for awhile. I'd be willing to give it a shot because I love everything Christmas & generally like Vince Vaughn. This of course has a million showings. I just wanted to see the other one more.
whoops, I forgot to add the poll. Oh well.

Poll added, I hope that's what you wanted. Let me know if you want it changed or removed.
Sorry I can't help with the decision, neither of these are released here yet.

Thanks. Fred Claus doesn't seem to be doing very well. Looks like we may just go to a late dinner in order to make the 5:30 showing of GBG.

I've heard from a number of people that Gone Baby Gone is fantastic.

Went with "Gone" because reading your post seems to be the one you really want to see, and your probably hesistating for a reason. Instincts telling your "freds" gonna be crappy.

Voted for Gone Baby Gone, don't even know anything about it, but I hate Christmas movies in general, even if they do have Vince Vaughan in them. Please don't confuse this and think that I hate Christmas, I don't - I love Christmas, just hate movies about it.
It seems to me that you'd rather see Gone Baby Gone anyway.

thanks guys, I'm pretty sure it's going to be GBG. It is the one I really want to see, and screw the time. I'll just grab a snack on the way there if I'm hungry and have a late dinner, it'll probably be worth it in the long run.

The movie was really good. Super sad, and it's sickening how people can be, but I liked it. :upyours
And, my husband is super sensitive about the fact I said he wants to see Fred Claus, and he wanted me to make sure I said he no longer what's to see it in the theater since he's read more about it. He originally wanted to see it because he loves Vince Vaughn but the more he's heard the more he's not interested. In his words, "I needed to post that so you don't all think he's a douche."

I would never come to that conclusion! I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie. :upyours

"I needed to post that so you don't all think he's a douche."
That was my first thought. He wants to see Fred Claus? Actually, not douche.... idiot. But, hell, I am a film snob. That Vince Vaughn, though, he's entertaining, but I have the feeling he is settling for some high paying, mainstream shitty roles despite his string of excellent performances in good comedies.
Gone Baby Gone is excellent.
