I'm just starting all my Financial Aid crap.
Any tips/suggestions?
Also, what Loan Companies are good?

What have you decided to go to school for? Good luck, btw. :)
My school loans are all through Sallie Mae. You should really look into seeing if you are eligible for money from the government. Best place to start with that is fasfa.org (pretty sure that's correct). If it doesn't work out, I'll ask my mom she helps kids with this stuff all the time in her job.

Yeah, I'm doing the fafsa and that that stuff on monday.
I got an email with about 32353 things to fill out, and that was the first one on the list.
And I'm going to school for Audio Engineering. :upyours
I get to play with knobs and sliders.

I took a year of Audio Engineering. It's really interesting stuff if you have a passion for it. I did not have a passion for it. Hope you enjoy it.

Student loans suck ass. At least paying them back does......I owe my soul for my education.

Littleamen, I'm terrified of that. I'm still in school now (because my dumb ass has decided to double major) otherwise I could be done. But, I'm nervous I'l never find a job to pay them back.

My tip - have a JOB! Do not use your student loan money to "live off of" so you can go to school. My boyfriend did that, rang up $25,000 in loans while he was in school, and now has to pay them off, even though he has had a tough time finding steady work in his field. I took out no loans, went to school for four years while working a full time job and living with my parents PUKE and I now make 3x what he makes, plus I have no loans to pay back (of course, I am still suffering for his mistakes). Hopefully, if you heed my advice, the future Ms. Wok will not suffer as much ;)

That's all great in theory. Unless you're in grad school on assistantship...having an outside job is seriously frowned on most place and grounds for getting fired at others.

I worked part time through school, had a little financial aid and a loan with Sallie Mae, which I'm still paying back. If you find that you do have to take out a loan, I recommend them.

There are always exceptions to every rule :)
Come to think of it, I really have no business giving anyone advice on money matters, my financials...yeah, we'll just leave it at that. Right now I should be paying off bills, but all I am worried about is how a am going to find a Wii for my son at list price before Christmas. Maybe I need to start a side career as a :pimp
