Actually, SW is technically Sci-Fi Fantasy, due to the advanced technology (hyperspace, gravity wells, harnessed energy weapons) and The Force (unexplainable mythical power).
This thread is going to be Nerd heaven.

I phail to see how Simon Pegg - a blond, skinny and English man - will be able to play Scotty - a dark haird, fat scottish person.
Also, Quinto has the looks to play Spock but his voice isn't deep enough.
And the Urban person who's gonna play McCoy is way too young.

Oh I knew about Han and Leia. Where do I read on this though? I thought that was the point of this
ewok.online
11-30-2007, 10:59 AM
It was the point.
Then someone sidetracked the thread with talk of lesser sagas.
Here's some "reccomended reading".
Grand Admiral Thrawn Trilogy
Rogue Squadron series (8 or 9 books, all pretty good. No main characters really, but it gives you a general feel for the universe and the people in it.)
Corellian Trilogy
Splinter of the Mind's Eye/Shadows of the Empire fill in the gaps between episodes IV/V and V/VI, respectively.
All good places to start.
There isn't a lot of interchange between storylines, so it's not like you have to start in a certain place.
