Just started working out properly over the past 8 months and really enjoying it, I love running with the ipod listening to rock songs, but I'm kinda getting sick of the music I've been listening to lately, so anyone got any ideas for songs that would be motivating for workouts...and no I dont mean arm workouts :beer :P..anyway what songs do you guys use?

4. Jenny Lewis With The Watson Twins- The Charging Sky
5. Neil Young- My, My, Hey, Hey(Out of the Blue)
6. Audioslave- Original Fire
7. Ryan Adams- 29
8. KT Tunstall- Black Horse And The Cherry Tree
9. Jenny Lewis With The Watson Twins- The Big Guns

I've just made this mix. I haven't had the chance to try it since I just started working out, but I think it'll be pretty good. Also, the title of the mix is "Pump It Up!-Scott's Totally Bitchin' Work-Out Mix."

1) "Pump It Up"-Elvis Costello
2) "Between Stations"-The Hold Steady
3) "Kicking Television" (Live)-Wilco
4) "Hey Chicken"-Loose Fur
5) "Born To Run"-Bruce Springsteen
6) "Police on My Back"-The Clash
7) "Sister Jack"-Spoon
8) "The Hustle"-Marah
9) "Honest With Me"-Bob Dylan
10) "She's Lost Total Control"-Ryan Adams
11) "Major Label Debut (Fast)"-Broken Social Scene
12) "House of Jealous Lovers"-The Rapture
13) "Don't Lie To Me"-Big Star
14) "Spanish Castle Magic"-Jimi Hendrix
15) "Girl You Have No Faith In Medicine"-The White Stripes
16) "Echos Myron" (Live)-Guided By Voices

I'm terrible at making mixes, just bloody awful! I tried to make a mix for walking, here are some of the highlights...
Promises in the Dark - Pat Benatar
Beautiful Day - U2
Point Breeze/Freedom Park - Marah
Just A Girl - No Doubt
Higher Ground/Universally Speaking -RHCP
Go Faster/Soul Singing - Black Crowes
This Is What I Do - Rhett Miller
Blue Orchid - White Stripes
Gonna Make You Love Me - Ryan

...it serves the purpose but it feels pretty uninspired.

for workout music I recommend european dance music....

it's ALWAYS the best motivational tool for me...

.....and you don't have to tell anyone at the office if u just listen to it on the mp3 player at the gym ;) ....

.... here's a compilation series on itunes that I recommend:
