vbExperience - New Feature

As some of you noticed, I have added a new feature called vbExperience. It has created those bars under your username on your posts and also a detailed tab on your profile page.

This system rewards users for certain different tasks that pertain to the message board world. How many points are given for each is controlled by me, and is still in the process of being tweaked.

Here is a list of tasks that is used to calculate your score:

- Created threads
- Thread views of own threads
- Thread replies of own threads
- Thread votes of own threads
- Thread tags
- Replies to own threads (popularity)
- Sticky threads
- Created posts
- Views on attachements
- Days since registration
- Received infractions
- Reputation
- Visitor messages on profiles
- Members of own social groups

The top bar is your current level, the middle bar is your progress on your current level, and the bottom bar is your activity %.

I will add a poll to this thread later to see if this is a feature worth keeping.

It's me I know but why do we need this? It's competitive and I don't do competition. Just my view - sorry.

I don't view it as competition really. I think it's more of a reward for doing things on the board. I will include an option on the poll to remove the bars from individual posts, but keep it as part of our profiles.

I hear what you're saying. I do my best anyway and I imagine others do too. I would prefer it off the individual posts. It's like the rep points isn't it?

I personally think it would be better just on the profile tab. It just looks sorta messy seeing it on every post.

i'm kind of confused...

so the top orange bar is about what level you're at, according to how many points you've gained, and the middle blue bar is how far along on that level you are? so you get full blue before you get extra orange?

I'm not sure what Rob has in mind, but I think some of the setlists from past years are still missing, or at least some of the ones I volunteered to do are. :P Most of the setlists should be available on Answering Bell.
