Flight of the Conchords - Any fans of the show out there?
My brother-in-law has gotten me into watching it a lot lately.

My bro-in-law travels out of town for work Mon.-Wed. So when he get home on Wed. nights he is always dressed in a business suit and "business socks". That song is his theme song and it fits him perfectly.

I love these guys. My favourite is the Bowie song:

Team building excercise 1999!
And then you sort out the recycling, which isn't part of the foreplay, but it's still very important.

The business time song is pretty funny, but I think my favorite is the "You could be a part time model" one.

Kiwi pride! :banana These guys are from Wellington, my home town! I don't live there at the moment, but I will be back. They got awarded Wellingtonians of the year last year. It was a bit of a joke really.
TVNZ, our main television network turned them down when they pitched the show to them. They went to the US, got a deal with HBO and the rest is history. Someone must be awfully embarrased now.
It's quite funny, my wife realised only about 6 weeks ago that she sort of knew Bret. He was a flat mate of one of her friends about 5 years ago, and she just remembers him as this guy who was always on the computer emailing his fans. If you don't know, before he was famous for Flight of the Conchords he developed a cult following for an elf that he played in the first Lord of the Rings movie - it wasn't even a speaking part but for some reason there were fan sites dedicated just to him. They even gave the character a name (FIGWIT - Frodo Is Great, Who Is That?) and it became so big that Peter Jackson gave him a line in the last movie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figwit

Just started watching it via Netflix and my boyfriend and I are salivating for season 2 to come out (neither of us has cable). I didn't think I'd like it, but I ended up in tears from laughing so hard. It makes me think of Spinal Tap in some ways, which is always a good point for me.

I. love. this. show.
I'm so dorky for it, in fact, that I'm going to see two acts at the Melbourne Comedy Festival who feature in the show: Arj Barker and Kristen Schaal.
Oh wait, that's in a few days from now. WOO.

Saw Kristen Schaal the other night. BRILLIANT show. If she comes through your town, drop everything and see her.
