"The album was mastered and completed in the first week of March. It was then taken immediately to a vinyl pressing plant. Then to a CD pressing plant. Then preparations to sell it digitally began. March 25th became the soonest date to have it available in EVERY FORMAT AT ONCE. The band have done no interviews or advertisements for this record before this announcement. The purpose: to get the album to the fans as soon as possible and as we promised. We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the EXACT SAME TIME so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding it’s availability, reception or perception."

Very cool.

I've always wondered why when a band finished a record it then take 6 months to actually release it.

I don't know that all bands get it...but certainly more and more are getting it

wow thats really exciting...been waiting to hear some news from them...and the first thing that i hear of is a new release....in a week!

i heard a clip of the first single off the album, sounded mint. didnt really like their 1st album though tbh

I like both albums but I prefer White Stripes.

Ohh thats a statement that would actually be fun to discuss. I bet both sides could get heated (and rightfully so). My heart still lies w/ The White Stripes, but that new Black Key's album is ace.

I think the new Rac's album is better than thier last one...I just saw them on Monday night and this tour kicks thier last tours ass...and it was a good tour.

good shout. ive not heard as much black keys as i have white stripes, but i love the riffs and the overall sound

Well I think it's great. Better that their first album but I'm not much of a judge because I'm a big fan of Jack White. It's very Jack White influenced so if you like him and you liked Broken Boy Soldiers (I think that's right) you should like this one.
