Read two Chuck Palahniuck novels, Rant and Lullaby, recently. He's a great, often witty and empathic writer. I'll probably read another one soon. Possible Invisible Monsters.

Invisible Monsters is terrific. One of his more underrated books I think.

Just about to start this.Never read anything by Ferrante before, but she seems to have a very devoted following, especially in Europe.

Have you read Diary? I really enjoyed that one.

Almost done that one. It's gothic.

Invisible Monsters is probably up next.

I'm going to start McCarthy's Border Trilogy. I've read everything else by him.

Blood Meridian, Suttree, Outer Dark and Child of God are my favourites.

What did you think of 11/22/63? I just recommended it to someone that wants to read King but does not really like horror. I liked the book.

On that note, besides The Green Mile, what King books do you think a non horror fan would like?

I really like The Dead Zone. The Mr. Mercedes / Finders Keepers / End of Watch trilogy may be good. Joyland perhaps. All darker themed obviously, but not "horror" per say.

I highly recommend reading King's novel Revival. It's not quite as cynical as Pet Semetary or Apt Pupil let's say, but it's close. Things don't end well for those characters.

I'm currently reading his latest novel, The Institute. I'm liking it so far.

I think Revival is one of his best recent novels. Loved it to death. That ending.

I plan on picking up The Institute.

Haven't started the trilogy yet. Got distracted.

It was good. Kingís version of a Murikami/Auster kind of meta fiction. I guess selected short stories. I never read the Stand yet.

Just finished I'm Thinking Of Ending Things by Iain Reid. Really well written, well paced psychological horror. Very short, very very weird and probably not for everyone. Apparently Charlie Kaufman is directing a movie version for Netflix with a 2020 release date. He's perfect for this story.
