12th & Porter and The Basement are excellent joints.
One of my favorite places is in that Elliston Place neighborhood.
Right up the block and around the corner from Exit/In is this place called Cafe Coco.
That place is prime.

for me...
any solo show in 2002 would be a tops. that's as good as it gets. of course 99-2000 brought us many gems like onslow county, the helpless cover, dreaming's free, born yesterday, oh my sweet valentine, hey there mrs. lovely, gimme sunshine, and some cool Whiskeytown acoustic performances of mining town, avenues, dancing..., 16 days, somebody remembers the rose.
