We shouldn't kid ourselves here. Clearly this site wants Kendrick to win and Drake to lose. I get that. I agree with that... but think about this as a spectator. This song is fantastic. One of the best things Drake has ever released. It genuinely pushes the line back to nearly the middle for me. There will be a round 2, and I could not be happier as a fan of hip hop. He actually brought it.

couple hours later thoughts: this feels like a parody of drake and i’m all here for it. it’s clear kendrick is still holding back and sarcastically taunting drake to get him to make a move before going in for the killshot. kendrick definitely won round one and i’m excited to see where it develops from here (also sample slapped i wish the beat had a switchup tho)
