For real.

Most broadcasters don't bother to get surnames right.

The British Prime Minister fucked a dead pig.

How can anyone beat that?

Tory MP's on twitter are saying things like 'we all do crazy things like this at uni' or complete silence. The BBC currently under attack by Cameron has not mentioned the #baeofpigs incident.

Make of that what you will.

Funny thing is, Dave Cameron fucking a pig has overshadowed the story of a British General who openly admitted planning a military coup in the event of a Corbyn election win in 2020.

Dark times.

"Rogering a dead pig is just schoolboy high jinx and a jolly bit of naughty fun" - Lord Rupert Downton-Abbey Smythe.

If even a quarter of the rumours currently circulating about the Bullingdon Club et al are true, it's proof that the rich really are different. And probably in need of urgent access to a larger gene pool.

Woman Jumps Out of Moving Car After Seeing Spider, Causes Crash

An Indiana woman named Angela Kipp was backing out of her driveway when she noticed a spider hanging out on her shoulder. She promptly GTFO. Yes, she jumped out of the vehicle while it was moving, and while her nine-year-old son was in the backseat.

According to police, the child climbed into the driverís seat and tried stepping on the brake, but instead he put his foot on the gas, causing the car to hit a passing school bus. The boy was in stable condition with minor head injuries, reports USA Today. Thankfully, there were no children aboard the bus at the time of the accident. The bus driver was also uninjured. Authorities say Kipp will most likely not face criminal charges.

I hate spiders as much as the next arachnophobe, but jumping out of a moving vehicle because you saw a bug is a tad extreme. At least, thatís what I want to believe. Was it a tarantula? Black widow?

Sort of, if the story is actually true. He is alleged to have placed his well-bred willy in the mouth of a dead pig as part of a university hazing ritual.

Finally, a definitive answer to the age old question of which is sillier - someone over the age 12 who identifies as a anarchist OR a uber -hipster cafť that only sells breakfast cereal. It's anarchists, ftw.

And I'm not arguing that urban gentrification doesn't have social costs, but this sort of protest contributes absolutely nothing of value to that issue.

Really, though, East London gentrification has been going on for at least 10 years. They're protesting now?

Shoreditch is undoubtedly powered by hipster smugness, and the joke's on anyone willing to pay upwards of 4 and a half quid for a bowl of cereal simply to participate in the irony of doing a mundane, home-bound activity in a cafe setting.

I do feel for the long term resident who's been priced out of the area. When I started looking for short term accommodation it was so rare to hear the phrase, "landlord hasn't raised the rent in x years". But I get why East London's a target, having spent the last few weeks here.

Yep, exactly. Plus, their premise seems to be based on the notion that (a) gentrification is avoidable and communities can be insulated in some kind of bubble that protects them from economic and social changes, (b) that gentrification has no upsides and (c) that an area being poor and run down is somehow super-duper for the residents.

As you say, it unfortunate that long term residents are being priced out, and a sensible protest movement would concentrate on persuading government to look at ways to find more equity in rapidly changing communities - eg: insisting that new residential developments incorporate a certain % of public/low cost housing, or looking at some kind of rent control mechanism.

I guess wearing a pig mask and smashing up property is more fun though.

Totally more fun.

A friend made the point that another hipster joint nearby, Brick Lane Coffee, probably didn't get attacked because they've more surreptitiously profited from the gentrification / tried to blend in.

A cereal cafe was attacked because it's a prime example of something a community isn't sorely lacking or doesn't desperately need. They opened that place just because they could. Shoreditch is run by the hipster dollar, has been for a while now. This was just the straw that broke everyone's back.

Yeah, read an interview yesterday with one of their leaders, who said it wasn't until they targeted Cereal Killer that the media took any notice. So now they would concentrate on smaller, independent business in the future. They're also going to protest the Jack the Ripper Museum (again) because it apparently encourages sexual violence against women.

Man tries to put out garbage fire by driving over it in a van loaded with ammunition

A Clay County sheriff’s deputy retreated to a safe distance from a van burning in a field Tuesday afternoon after he heard the sound of live ammunition going off inside it.

The deputy found the van burning near Old State Highway 210 and Bluff Road, south of Liberty, about 2:30 p.m., said Jon Bazzano, a spokesman for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy had been in the middle of a traffic stop when he saw black smoke on the horizon and headed that way to investigate.

Eventually, the deputy found the owner of the vehicle watching the fire from a distance.

The deputy learned that the owner had been burning garbage in the field and accidentally let the fire get out of control. In an attempt to put the fire out, he drove his van back and forth over the flames.

This made matters worse, as the tires of the van caught fire. Realizing that the van was loaded with firearms ammunition and a full tank of gas, the driver evacuated the area for safety.

A crew from the Liberty Fire Department responded to make sure the fire did not spread. It was unclear what type of ammunition the owner had in the vehicle.

The deputy did not immediately cite the owner, who declined to make a report for a possible insurance claim.

“It seems like he’s just going to have to take a loss on that vehicle because I don’t think they’re going to cover it,” Bazzano said.

Target Supermarket Accidentally Plays PORN On The Tannoy, Makes Children Cry

A mum from California was left mortified while shopping with her two sons when the audio of a porn film began playing on the store's PA system.

Gina Young recorded footage of the incident while shopping at the Target superstore in Campbell at 10:30am on Wednesday, capturing the strange moments that brought her two confused children to tears.

According to Young, staff were unable to stop the X-rated noise for fifteen minutes.

"The employees ran all around the store picking up and hanging up the stores phones," she wrote on Facebook. "Finally it worked... But for about 2 mins then it came back on.

"People were up in arms. Some people threw their things down and walked out. Others were yelling at employees."

A spokesperson for Target said the company was "actively reviewing the situation with the team to better understand what happened and to help ensure this doesn't happen again."

Swedish king calls for ban on bathtubs

"All bathtubs should be banned. Just imagine it!”, he exclaimed in an interview published in the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper on Saturday.

Carl XVI Gustaf said that the idea had come to him the day before the interview, as he was going through his morning routine and was forced to run a bath, because the room in which he was staying lacked a shower.

“It took a lot of fresh water and energy,” he said. “It struck me so clearly: it’s not wise that I have to do this. I really felt ashamed then, I really did.”

Later in the interview, he cautioned that the suggestion was a little “lighthearted”.

“But there is a truth there,” he maintained. “Those small details have an enormous effect.”

Carl XVI Gustaf, who will be in Paris on November 30 for the conference’s opening, has long maintained an interest in the environment, taking part in both the UN Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972, and the UN Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.

“When was it that Al Gore started?” he asked, when pressed on when he realised the importance of climate change. “That was the same time I wanted to highlight this issue, but he beat me to it. And he was better suited as a lecturer.”

The king, who is notorious for his large fleet of automobiles, explained that he already often used an environmental car when he drove into central Stockholm from the royal family’s residence at the Drottningholm Palace.

“I have a hybrid car right now, so when I drive into town, I drive completely electric,” he said.

He said he was also attempting to reduce his consumption of meat to cut emissions. “Personally I am eating less meat,” he said.

Sweden should be commended for its own role in pushing for an international climate deal starting with the 1972 conference, he argued.

“Stockholm held the first big conference, which is something we should be proud of,” he said.. “Since then this issue has been discussed around the world.”

He said he was confident that the Paris conference would not collapse in failure as happened at the Copenhagen Summit in 2009.

“There’s a feeling in the air that we’re going to manage this,” he said.
