Dude is a habitual liar. No way those tapes are destroyed. How many times did he say his laptop was destroyed back in the blog days? LOL

Interesting there is the inclusion of the blog tunes when he said before those songs weren't strong enough for release. I tended to agree with him.

Summer Rain sounds amazing though. This and Manchester are probably the most exciting tunes shared thus far.

Holy shit, Showtime is ‘goodbye sunshine’ with new lyrics. He’s really raided the foggy archive for this one.

Wow, nice catch. Does that make it a total of 3 tracks from 'Dear Impossible'?

Some songwriters seem to take pride in mining old ideas and demos from years past and finding context for them on new albums. I wonder if he'll ever say what prompted him to go back to that collection or not.

He’s changed the lyrics though, they don’t seem to fit quite as well.

Yes with one other from the blog demos. I’d also love to hear studio recordings of Broken Arrow and Yes I Know That Color, some great songs from back then. I imagine he won’t mention that the songs are old.

I can't remember which song it was but the insta/twitter clip with the boat and the lyrics 'watch that sun it rises...' is originally 'Those people, WTF.' There wasn't really a chorus on that demo so presumably he has turned it into a full song. I don't think it was a Dear Impossible track, more of a throwaway jam which makes it even more random.

Want this but can't order (US shipping only) I live in Sweden. If anybody can get one copy extra? I'm willing to pay for the vinyl+shipping cost

Yeah I'm not so sure from that little clip. We'll see.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

this could be totally awesome or something like Easy Tiger II... it seems to be very eclectic just like ET. really liking the clips of Hands All Shaking, Big Colors and Dreaming You Backwards though. for ET he also dug up some oldies like Hey There Missus Lovely, which weren't exactly an improvement..

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

So glad I decided to not buy every variant. Its become something of a joke. The prices and limited numbers of these variants make the Paxam pricing even more ridiculous. LP and 7" plus postage is £45 in the UK store. LP available from dodax.co.uk for £14.99 delivered.

The song with the speedboat in the video has probably been my least favourite so far.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

A March release makes sense given the rollout (it won't work for vinyl pressing most likely). April with a mid Jan announcement is silly in 2019.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

I hope it’s true. The album is clearly ready given the promos that have been in circulation. April 19 is very close to RSD so the pressing plants will be pretty busy in the months leading up to it. I’m predicting streaming services may get it early and the vinyl will be out a month later.

Every other site still lists April as the release date, both CD and vinyl.
