Anyone seen this back and forth on Todís Instagram? Seems pretty immature of everyone involved. Iím going to assume itís more likely a person having fun making people think he is Ryan rather than actually him.

Yeah I saw several people being referred to as ďRyanĒ in that thread.

Seemingly, anyone who wasnít posting positive messages conveying how brave everyone is were being referred to as ďRyanĒ, which seems a bit odd.

I guess this isnít a good time to ask Tod if I can borrow 150k, huh?

Evan Dando tweeting his love and support at Ry Ry yesterday. "Say strong" . Pretty sure he meant "Stay". I've been trying to keep out of this whole shitpile but I'm fairly certain this is the first big name fellow musician to publicly offer support?

Most rock dudes have some skeletons in their closet, man. Just saying, Evan is I think the first to actually publicly voice any form of support.

Re: Alt-Country R. Kelly: The Thread

I agree that Louis CK is the best comparator here. Bowie and Page are not relevant: they were never dropped from radio playlists, never subjected to an online mob. The fact that Ryan is younger and has a social media presence, and that his alleged victims have social media presences as well, is a key factor.

I can't help but think that Ryan's own personality will be an impediment to overcoming this. He's pretty insecure and prone to tantrums. I don't think he'll do a good job of handling ongoing questioning and heckling about these accusations. His tantrums will have a Streisand effect that prevent his moving past this story.

The biggest issue is Ava. If that pans out the way that it did for say Anthony Weiner-- with jail time, and sex offender registry-- I think Ryan is basically ruined. There's no way his artistic persona can withstand those associations. Having said that I don't think he'll face charges for that.

Fair play to Evan. Nice to see someone with the guts to stick their head above the parapet and reach out to him.

Im not sure if that guy is ryan. That guy is a huge trump supporter (ryan wasnt), and that guy is dropping racial comments (not sure if ryan would do that). HOWEVER it could be the perfect disguise for someone like ryan to hide behind and impersonate..

Just sayin

i don't think he's gonna say anything, he's long moved on.

seems like more people close to ryan now should be speaking out.

Just checked it out. I don't think that's him either. The pile on pitchfork swarms just accuse any account with even a tinge of pro-Ryan sentiment as being him.

No! I have such a man crush on Even it isn't even funny. Somehow he's even cooler in his 50s releasing nothing but covers albums and seemingly living in poverty. His new GF gives off bad vibes though. Saw her at a gig.

Re: Alt-Country R. Kelly: The Thread

Yeah I don’t think Neal is going to say anything. He’s got a lot of positive things going on right now with his career.

But. I hope down the road he shares some stories, thoughts, experiences from his time with the cardinals. Like 20 some years from now.

How many vests do you think he can purchase now with all that Black Crows $$$? Do you think he has one for every day of the week? Every day of the month, even?

Yea he's hit or miss depending on his level of chemical/alcohol consumption on any given night. I see him any time he's anywhere in or near NYC and I've seen sublime shows that are among my most cherished memories, plus shows that rank as dire as any public display of incompetence. The last one, however, was one of the best. Other than his clearly problematic GF being in the audience shooting daggers at his female admirers.
