Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

I'm seeing Ryan on Sunday!
Blues Festival on Saturday, I've never been, so I hope it's fun!
Rest of the summer includes Tedeschi Trucks, Retro Futura Tour - Howard Jones / The English Beat / Men Without Hats, (that's for my DH who is a big 80s music guy), John Moreland, Trombone Shorty.
Still waiting to hear about a reunion with some of my friends, if it doesn't happen I'll be able to see DBT assuming I can get tickets. I think I can catch Lyle Lovett, whom I've actually never seen live though he's here nearly every summer. I sadly have to miss Jason Isbell AGAIN because of work. I also have to miss James McMurtry because I'll be traveling for work.
But still a decent summer lineup, starting with Ryan.

I did!
That was my third time seeing them and they were great as always.
They played a good selection of tracks from every album (3 from the upcoming) and they seem to have scaled back on the pomp and pageantry of the Reflektor tour (which I was thankful for) and just played great song after great song.
Looking forward to the new album a lot more now.

Next time!

I'm eager to catch a show in the Salt Lake area now that I'm living in Colorado.

Something like Andrew Bird at the Red Butte Garden sounds perfect.

Yeah I was second row (all early entry peeps were first god they were annoying and ok top of that a group of them stayed back and then would randomly come up to talk to them then go off-- all night, really obnoxious. It's great you go to every show so you may be bored or whatever the fuck but lemme enjoy the show).

Anyways yeah one of the best shows I've ever been to fullband if not the best

Justin Townes Earle is playing a free show tonight in Boulder. Quite excited! It'll either be solo or with just another guitarist. Should be good.

It was a great little show. Solo. Outdoor free stage. Played only about 30 minutes or so, but made for a nice night. Maybe 100 people showed up.

Next up is Father John Misty at Red Rocks next week.
