Joni Mitchell - River
Rufus Wainwright - Poses

Re: Name three perfect songs

Mayonaise - Smashing Pumpkins (I know Frigid Roses already put it, but it was honestly the first song I thought of when I read the title of this thread)
Lover, You Should Have Come Over - Jeff Buckley
Street Spirit (Fade Out) - Radiohead

Thought I'd go for a 90's vibe.

Re: Name three perfect songs

Thunder Road is the only song I can (at this early hour anyway) confidently call a "perfect" song. (Though I have a friend - who is not a Springsteen fan particularly - who said Jungleland was the most perfectly constructed song he'd ever heard.)

Ahh, just thought of another... Tear Stained Eye, Son Volt. Gets me everytime...

Funny you list those two together being that Counting Crows adds Thunder Road alts. to Rain King the majority of the time they play it live.

Impossible to do I'm afraid. Different songs seem perfect to me at different times.

Great song. They were one solid band. I might see Mark Knopfler next time he comes around here. He puts on a fantastic show.

Re: Name three perfect songs

Wow - this is hard, but I love things like this.

Toad the Wet Sprocket - "All Things in Time"
Whiskeytown - "Avenues" (I know this is a repeat, but it is amazing)
Rich Mullins - "Peace"

Few runner ups:
Wilco - "I'm the Man Who Loves You"
Paul Simon - "Hearts and Bones"
Craig Cardiff - "Circus"
