Sigur Ros in July. Never seen them and been wanting to for a long time. The last time they came to New Zealand was 2006.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Went to see Descendents last night. Lots of fun.

Radke and Suicide Machines opened. Both were really good.

I loved Desendents... these guys are in their 50s and their music is tough to play in your 20s. I enjoyed it a lot.

If you're a fan, here's what they played:

Spoiler:
Myage
I Wanna Be A Bear
Catalina
Suburban Home
Hope
Bikeage
My Dad Sucks
I Like Food
Wienerschnitzel
Descendents
I Don't Wanna Grow Up
Pervert
Silly Girl
Get The Time
Coolidge
No, ALL!
Van
Clean Sheets
Everything Sux
I'm The One
Coffee Mug
Rotting Out
When I Get Old
Thank You
Talking
Nothing With You
Feel This
Victim Of Me
Good On Paper
Shameless Halo
No Fat Burger
Without Love
Smile
Full Circle
(one new one that's short that I couldn't remember).

Robert Earl Keen, Jason Boland and Turnpike are playing in my hometown in Aug. Biggest thing this town will see for years.

Yes, I will also be at the Bluebird this evening for JTE! Just checked into the Art hotel and will be moseying that direction after a bit. Let me know if you'll be pre-show prepping in the vicinity and maybe meet up for

Yeah the Sadies tore it up. Didn't realize they were on Bloodshot Records back in the day. They're accompanying Neko Case on the Whiskeytown split 7" Car Songs. Trying to describe them at the show included references to early Pink Floyd, British Invasion, the Byrds/Flying Burrito Bros/GP, Link Wray, Duane Eddy... Crazy good. Would recommend them to all. They opened then came back out as JTE's band. Great show

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

just saw kevin morby, out to support his new record "city lights." man, was he good. great show and the crowd adored him.

much more rocking that i'd allowed myself to hope for, and backed by a great band. especially the lead guitarist, Meg Duffy.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Saw Dan Bern on Friday and he was excellent, played just about every song requested by people in the crowd. Although a few idiots persuaded him to not sing some new songs which was irritating
