Beyonce at Gillette was interesting.

Yeah it was great. Beck on Saturday was fantastic also. The Avett Brothers and Brandi Carlile were cancelled on Sunday, which was a bummer, but I was going to end up missing them anyway so it kind of worked out.

Just listing the bands at the festivals that I am most looking forward to.

7/22 Panorama Day 1 (Arcade Fire, Silversun Pickups, Broken Social Scene)
7/23 Panorama Day 2 (The National, Kendrick Lamar, Foals, Aurora)
7/24 Panorama Day 3 (LCD Soundsystem, Kurt Vile)
7/28 Lollapalooza Day 1 (Kurt Vile, City & Colour, J Cole, Last Shadow Puppets)
7/28 Frank Turner Aftershow - Double Door
7/29 Lollapalooza Day 2 (Radiohead, Frank Turner, M83, Foals)
7/30 Lollapalooza Day 3 (Grimes, Houndmouth, RHCP) - not actually that into the bands this day, so will just cruise
7/30 Bloc Party Aftershow - Chicago House of Blues
7/31 Lollapalooza Day 4 (LCD Soundsystem, Bloc Party, Aurora, Silversun Pickups)

I'm probably going to bite the bullet and pay through the nose for tickets to Radiohead at Madison Square Garden on the 26th as well.
That's awesome. If you are looking for any suggestions/tips about Chicago let me know. Lived there for most of my life before coming out to Colorado at new years. You'll dig it.

Next up for me is Bela Fleck and the Flecktones next week in Boulder. Had to decide between that and David Rawlings Machine. Tough, but probably the right call. Should be great.

He's still got it. Out of all the local artist that have come, gone or stayed, Cory has stayed trued to himself and still puts on a great show. You won't be disappointed if you go see him.

Caught Sufjan Stevens last night at Red Rocks. Not really what I was expecting, but it was ok. The National on deck that will be much better

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Just got tickets to LCD Soundsystem at the Metro in Chicago. Seeing them 3 times in a week now. Really pumped to see them in a smaller venue outside of a festival though. Will make for one epic day/night of music - at Lolla that day I'll be seeing Frank Turner > Foals > M83 > Radiohead and then finish it all with LCD. Chowder bags are ready to burst!

The Metro is a great little venue. Just get there early or you'll be crammed in pretty good.

Saw The National (my 7th time) and Kendrick Lamar last night. Foals and Daughter also were good.

Today is Kurt Vile, Run The Jewels, Sia, and LCD SOUNDSYSTEM!!!!!

I'm particularly excited about the last one.

Enjoy Wilco! I saw them the night before last and they were sounding awesome and their energy was great. I almost skipped. Glad I didn't.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Went to FYF Fest on the weekend.

-Kendrick LaMAAAAAAARRRRR
-Tame Impala were fucking sensational and could've easily gone another ten hours
-Grimes is great, would definitely see her again
-Preoccupations (formerly Viet Cong) are a very good, no-nonsense hard band with a very tight sound. I'd see them again.
-Blood Orange knows how to play festivals. Great backing band and lots of special guest vocalists who he's written songs for/collaborated with. Kept it lively.
-Finally saw Father John Misty. Josh Tillman might have the greatest male voice I've ever heard live.
-I know the kids were there for LCD Soundsystem, and what I saw of their set seemed cool.
-This thing belonged to Grace Jones, though.

NICE!

I saw an acoustic thing in Detroit with Kevin Seconds (7Seconds) and Steve Soto (Agent Orange/Adolescents). Low key and in a cool BBQ place with some hardcore punk decor.
