Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

I saw Jeff Tweedy last monday on his own with just an acoustic guitar. Amazing how these Wilco songs, like 'Impossible Germany', also sound great acoustic. And he was funny and political. He remembered he was in Utrecht also when Trump became president. He promised to be with us on election night 2020.

Never liked Ryan Adams acoustic that much, such a damn bore for 2 hours. But Jeff was great somehow.

David Byrne, Bloc Party (playing Silent Alarm), and Frank Turner (once solo, once with The Sleeping Souls) in November. Kurt Vile and the Violators in April.

I haven't seen Tweedy in a long time, but he can be incredibly good and hypnotic... one is hanging on every word.

YES. I saw them a few years ago and they were incredible!

I'm going to see Henry Rollins talk on Monday. Not a music show, but I'm stoked. I still love that guy.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

I am old now. I kinda hate concerts. I hate crowds I hate other people. I hate staying out late. However I am going to see Ben Howard in Berkeley with a girlfriend on the 28th and I'm pretty excited about it.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Isakov fucking killed it last night. Beautiful show.
An incredible show!!!! Opener was the new one "Too Far Away" into Big Black Car then Empty Northern then he did 4 new songs in a row.

Highlight of the night was a double encore. He came out w/ joshua james and since it was Springsteen's b-day they covered "Dry Lightning" together....it was fucking beautiful. He came out again w/ full band for The Stable Song. One of those concerts that just go by too fast and leaves you wanting more.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

So I have two shows in my future.

This Sunday I'm seeing Isbell in Charlottesville. Going to be awesome as always. Now my fourth time seeing him.

October 8th my wife and I are seeing Gregory Alan Isakov with the Portland symphony for our (very belated) honeymoon. We had previously missed his show with the national symphony in DC for wedding planning, and I told my wife that we were going to the next symphony show regardless of where it was. The orchestral version of Amsterdam was our first dance song. This is the most excited I've been for a concert in my life

Awesome. What venue? And what did you think of SPACE?

On a whim I went to see a band I had never even heard before the other night at a little dive bar. I follow Benny Yurco from his brief stint with Ryan and he was playing guitar for Michael Nau.

I was blown away. Great show, you might want to check him out
