Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

This doesn't necessarily mean much, but for reference, the 2005 release dates were May 3, September 26 and December 19

April 19 is early enough that they could space them out fairly evenly if they want. April, August and December?

In reality, dates will probably be determined by some combination of when he gets them the material, mixed and mastered timing and vinyl pressing?

If that’s the same Poisom & Pain as the old one, cool.

Looks like a lot of these are on his song list from July. Even gives us an idea of what vibe they are.

I was too going to say, believe it when I have them in my hands but it looks like it's happening.

Do you thin the third album is, dare I say it, Black Hole?

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

Honestly feel like this is happening, then - this is wicked. 32 songs announced for release already and still a whole album of songs left to unveil.
My only issue is that I can't listen to them all right away!

I forwarded the album cover to a friend who is a huge Bruce fan. Not so much of a RA fan and his response made me wonder if the nod to Nebraska is so wise. It raises expectations and invites comparison to an album that's worshipped by so many. Maybe it'd be better to stand on it's own two feet?

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

Certainly seems like good odds that the 3rd release will be one from the vault. I tire of all the Blackhole speculation, but capping off a huge year with that would be a good move. Blackhole as #3 would certainly be the antidote to what could be some RA fatigue.

With that being said, don't get too excited. As noted in this tweet, he has 4 OTHER records on the shelf he's thinking about releasing https://twitter.com/TheRyanAdams/sta...69183805423621 :
Prisoner 2 and 3
Live at Capitol Theater with The Stringdusters
Exile On Main Street live/rehearsal

Any of those could be #3 just as easily. Or, ya know, something else totally new.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

Lots of updates on the Wednesday's album. Jason Isbell and Emmylou feature! Now this is something.

I hadn't heard anything about Isbell and Adams' friendship since the fall out so that's good to hear.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

I'm really surprised that he's still releasing the Megan Butterworth songs after his breakdown, considering he usually decides to wipe the slate clean. I'm guessing the release agreement had already been made.

The guest appearances on "Wednesdays" are enough to pique my interest. No way those three are appearing on his 80's rock stuff.

So he's got one song on Big Colours called Manchester and one on Wednesdays called Birmingham? Here's hoping for Nottingham on album three.

Seems to be the Jacksonville City Nights of 2019. Hope Blackhole can be the 29, darker one to end the year in the winter.

Re: 2019 Album Trilogy

After the quiet (boredom?) of 2018, things are certainly picking up fast.

I know that 29 was recorded first and released last in 2005, but I have this feeling that album #3 has not been recorded yet. I can imagine him recording it in a frenzy of inspiration off the buzz of the first 2 releases during the summer.

Pure speculation of course.

Todd rehearsing "Anything I Say to You Now", so maybe shows are on the horizon? Brendan McCusker from La Sera is the drummer.

Super pumped about this trio, seems a little more "firm" than some of his previous proclamations. Hoping there's a little something for everyone here
So it looks like that Wednesdays cover is final as it has the Paxam logo on some pics Ive seen.
I meant Big Colors looked more polished because of this.
