Jesse is awesome. It was a great show with a small turnout. He also had some positive things to say about Ryan. Interesting night.

he was great for my first time. His band is really tight and they seem to genuinely love it. I’m pumped to see him and Sturgill in April.

Never been much of a setlist complainer type but he didn’t play Lady May or A Song While You’re away. Still got 20 songs but no encore when it seemed like the venue and crew was actually expecting it.

Also a lady threw a bra and it actually landed on his shoulder / guitar mid song lol. He goes ‘what is this, i’m married’ or something to that effect then finished the song.

He talked a lot about NYC in that time (early 00's). How he and Ryan grew close. He told stories about Ryan producing The Fine Art of Self Destruction. Then he said something along the lines of sometimes you see your friends are down and out and you want to see them get back up. It was all positive and respectful.

Ryan produced his first record and he brought it up before getting into a few of those songs.

Jesse is a fun show. There weren't many people there but he knocked it out of the park. I had a great night.

Caught Vetiver Sunday night at a small venue in Denver. Cool band
