Re: So, the rise of conspiracy theories.....

the 9/11 stuff is insanity.

If a government was so evil that they needed to kill 2000 people and destroy a couple of buildings to justify going to war for oil, why wouldn't they just go to war for oil? Because if they certainly don't care about the lives of thousands of americans, why would they care about their opinion of just going to war to take oil?

Yep. Not to mention the number of people who would have had to know about it and help carry out the plan. Best kept big secret ever.

Does wood burn? Did he just have a 300 year old timber beam lying about in his backyard? So many questions.....

Flat earthers confuse me more than anything. What do they think Science's endgame is in "saying"the world is round?

One scintillating piece of logic I've read is that NASA just fabricates all evidence about both the shape of the Earth and space travel. Apparently they want to keep the government convinced that they are actually doing something, so the funding doesn't stop.

Even further down the same rabbit hole, another version suggests the ultimate goal in saying the earth is round is because the Bible says its flat. NASA are evil deep operatives who want to deny the existence of God.

There are probably other theories. A lot of conspiracy stuff just seems like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book for gullible people.
