Oh and Stones from the nosebleeds in July. Because...fuck it, it's the Stones and they are playing 10 minutes from my house on a Saturday night. I'm getting wrecked.

Saw Band of Heathens again tonight. I think this board would dig them, if you haven't already dug them.

They're on one of those tours with a group of random 90's bands, I honestly forget who else, pretty sure Better Than Ezra were the only ones I wanted to see.

I just saw Jenny Lewis tonight. She really is just fun to watch. I've never been a huge fan, but I like her. She was great tonight and definitely had a very varied set list.

awesome run you've got coming up!

I'm headed to Governor's Ball tomorrow. Can't stand festivals and am not dying to see anyone in the early part of the day so I thin I'll make it a half day: Sharon Van Etten, Bjork, Ryan Adams.

I saw Sufjan Stevens tonight in Oakland...such an amazing show. His new songs are so beautiful in a live setting.

Yeah, she was there last night. One other thing, I'm not sure if it was because this was an all seated show but this was one of the most respectful crowds I've been a part of in the Bay Area. No shouting requests, very little picture taking, all in all it seemed like everyone was just taking in the moment and enjoying the sads together.

Fox Theatre, Oakland. My first time there for an all seated show, it definitely was the right vibe for this show.

Oh how I envy you! When they first announced a tour I misread an Ontario date as an Ohio date and thought I might be able to make it, but the closest they are coming to me is DC. I thought about trying to do Philly and and DC in one big road trip, but we couldn't work out child care. Hopefully this tour will be fantastic for them and they'll decide to come further south.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Just came back from seeing sun kil moon at the london barbican, i was at the show when he said unkind things towards a journalist which has gotten a lot of press. It was a decent show, was expecting a little more if im being really honest. Some of his new material, leaves me quite cold.

Got two festivals coming up, Green Man and End of the road, looking forward to those.

Oh! I'm really aching to go to the Green Man festival especially as Slowdive (one of my favourite bands of all time) is on. You're so lucky!

That's awesome. I think he played a show in like, Michigan or something with Iron and Wine. I wish they would tour together and hit New York. I would definitely take time out of my life for that show.

Re: What concerts are you going to in the near future?

Just got back from Andrew Bird. It was great! He had a drummer and bassist with him but still used looping fairly often for his violin and some backup-type vocals. Usually I can't stand looping but it didn't really bother me tonight for some reason. Maybe he just pulls it off better than others, or maybe it has to do with his sound.
