You take the good, you take the bad.
Glad to hear you can tolerate the plugged sinuses. My husband is really allergic to cats, if we weren't married I'd probably have 12. So I became a dog person, and haven't looked back.

Maine Coons can be awesome cats. My mother has had a few..two were very cool cats, and sadly both died pretty young, but the two she has now are kind of spooky and a little hard to bond with.

When my dogs are gone for some reason, and the house is so quiet, it's clear to me how much companionship they really offer. Just the presence of having them in the house and the reliability of their routine is soothing. Not to mention the petting and affection, and GREAT conversation.

Lol.
My mother is a singer, and used to have a cat that would come up and bite her on the elbow when she was at the piano.

I play the viola and my girl dog doesn't love it, she's used to it now but she used to get as far away from me as she could but still be able to keep an eye on me.

I play the viola (thus my forum name, it's not because of Mike Viola, which I realized people might think after I'd registered and I couldn't find a way to change my name!) and my girl dog doesn't love it, she's used to it now but she used to get as far away from me as she could but still be able to keep an eye on me.

He likes Jimi & the Grateful Dead. Clearly not a country cat.
