Re: Radiohead - TBA (May 8) - "will be like nothing you've ever heard"

OKC, Kid A, In Rainbows are my top 3 (the ones I'd class as excellent).

I'm loving the second new song.

Funny, the only record since OK Computer I really like is In Rainbows like you all said haha...will admit King of Limbs has some chilling moments.

Re: Radiohead - TBA (May 8) - "will be like nothing you've ever heard"

If you were under the Radiohead spell (between OK Computer and Kid A) they were a HUGE deal. I certainly was, but it didn't last. Admittedly, I lost some interest in the records when the albums became less physical (the In Rainbows publicity stunt and ad hoc/internet only releases thereafter). They are more independent and artistically free, but they're just weren't on my radar as much.

I don't think I've listened to Pablo all the way through. It's fine, but it's a different band... more in the English "college rock" sound... bands I never dug.

My order:

•Kid A
•OK Computer
•Amnesiac
•The Bends
•In Rainbows
•Hail To The Thief/The King of Limbs (Tie... Hail is too long and too same-y though all the moments are good. Limbs... has some advances and is good, but I guess the approach had worn a little thin for me.) Both have moments that are much better than In Rainbows or The Bends or even Amnesiac, but I like them less in terms of front to back listening.
•Pablo Honey

I am excited to hear this. Anyone know the initial formats? I'd prefer if they just put it out. I'm still pissed I overpaid on the initial In Rainbows digital sale.

Re: Radiohead - TBA (May 8) - "will be like nothing you've ever heard"

It does suck they sent out 192mp3s for those who paid. They should have just done 192 for those who asked for it for free and 320/wav for those who paid something above say $5 or something.

Re: Radiohead - TBA (May 8) - "will be like nothing you've ever heard"

I guess I was thinking that THIS, the download was it for the release. I knew an iTunes download was $10 with most of the money not seeing going to the artist.

I'm pretty sure I paid $10 with 100% going to the artist, but it ended up being in pounds.

I should done it on the cheap and stiffed the artist like the smart people or people that don't realize how much producing a record actually costs.
