Re: Podcasts

I subscribed to s-town but haven't listened yet. I've been listening to "My Dad Wrote a Porno" lately. It's pretty funny which is a change from the typical material I've been listening to.

Yeah there's kind of a twist. It really changed the direction of the podcast. I'm on episode 4, and I only have a vague idea of where it's going to go from here. It's interesting, but after the first episode I knew it wasn't going to be on the same level as serial.

Nailed it. I'm on 5 and enjoying it, though. I'm not sure we're going to see anything quite like the phenomenon of Serial anytime soon. There are just so many podcasts now, it's hard to break through. At the time of Serial, a lot of people were really new to the format

I gave Someone Knows Something a try but only made it a couple episodes in before I got distracted. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

Re: Podcasts

I listened to In the Dark yesterday. It was really good. It went a lot deeper than just the abduction of Jacob Wetterling which I guess I should have realized it would, but I didn't. Really dove into the investigation and took a critical look at the Sterns (spelling?) County Sheriffs. I also really liked the podcaster who did In the Dark. I found her voice really soothing and I hope she does more podcasts.

I started Up and Vanished today, but might save it for my ride back to VA on Monday. I find it interesting that both Jacon and Tara disappeared on October 22nd. I didn't make it far into Up and Vanished so right now that's what stood out to me the most.

Just started getting into a few of the Joe Rogan episodes. Always thought of him as a tool but dude is super intelligent and gets some excellent guests.

Re: Podcasts

Yeah I agree. The one comedian who is great is Duncan. Hes invested a lot into mindfulness and is a cool story overall. Rogan is really good at challeging the main stream and so much of the deteimental behaviors many percieve as normal. Its helped me get un stuck recently.

Rich Roll podcast is also good for anyone into wellness and trying to live a more fulfilling life. Not as cheesy as many of the bullshit self help ones can be.

jesus.

this up and vanished is excellent, drama filled, seemingly endless entertainment and as tragic as the story is the podcast is incredibly well done.

The new episode? I have to download it and listen to it! I've been overwhelmed with true crime lately and switched to a history podcast about the civil war. But I usually keep up with up and Vanished and my favorite murder when new ones are released
