Do people not check out stuff that is outside of the Rock, Alt-Country, Classic Rock and 5 years ago-Indie genres?

That how a Connor Oberst album ends up at #3 in the TBY AotY poll.

I'm not a fan of Animal Collective.

But Pitchfork gave this a 9.6. So that's saying something.

Lot of great albums this year. But this is heads above the rest.

Interesting to listen to, great tunes, a sound thats differenet than alot of stuff out there.

It's been the most interesting listen so far this year. Can definitely see why it's gotten so many good reviews. Anyone know if they are good to see live?

They are.

Rob didn't like their Lolla show, but to be fair, they played alot of ambient stuff. Not "the hits" so to speak.

I loved their Riverside Theater show though. My neck hurt was sore for weeks.
