Pax.Am label back up & running?

I just read this over on RAA...

Something about some guy Lee Martin twittering about putting together a vinyl label for ryan:

Quote:
At the office. 1st project of the day: Lay out @ryanada_ms vinyl label art. BUT FIRST coffee..
he posted a pic of it too: http://twitpic.com/9x1hr

Ryan should do something like what Third man Records just started.

That's the guy in Ryan's Youtube videos. He likes to take plenty of pictures of food he is about to eat then puts the pictures on his Twitter.

I wonder if it's going to be the pink vinyl Sleazyhandshake. I don't care if it means he's making music again.

I like it better when 7" have jukebox holes.

Also, the old logo was better.

It must be Sleazy Handshake!!!

Quite frankly, many of us will lament another sensitive Cardinology style release, so I say to the Sleaze to shake things up and refine from there.

I'm putting on my spandex now.

I've reached a point where I'll gladly eat up any sort of new music Ryan is willing to give us. The inner fan boy always comes out in times of desperation.

I feel you on that one. Substitute "fan boy" for "fan girl" and we're in business.

Re: Pax.Am label back up & running?

More talk about the possibility of RA's new record label. This guy claims his band will be releasing some songs on the label.

Quote:
Also, Ryan Adams is starting a record label. Details will be announced as soon as Ryan gets it together to make a website but there will be a single with two songs released on his label. One of the songs is a slowed down version of one of our other songs and the best part is, it sounds like a completely new song. The other will be a surprise.

Re: Pax.Am label back up & running?

I'm very interested in seeing RA launch his own label. And if he's looking for other artists...even better.

I'm going to tell my guy all about this...he's looking to put his stuff out as soon as possible. It's worth a shot.

I guess it was too much to hope that Ryan's label might not be metal bands? I just listened to the band of the guy quoted above. And never plan to again: http://www.myspace.com/thedoublenegative

I really dont see why Ryan has to ram metal down our throats. I'd guess maybe 5% of his fanbase actually like all that metal stuff he's supposedly into?

Now it's just considered loud thrashy music for angry youth to vent to and everyone assumes they're growing to grow out of it, or at least away from that awful type of metal and more towards a genre of it that still holds some regard in the music world -- like LedZep or Black Sabbath.
