Him and Rivers Coumo from Weezer should team up. They seem to be on the same page.

If I was watching that shit live I would begin with laughter. Upon the realization that it was not a joke, and I was going to have to listen to it for 4 min I would start vomiting on everyone around me. After this fit past, I would look for the closet blunt object to throw my head into.

This guy's dad is one of the biggest modelling moguls in the world...

I'm a sourpuss, but I think the distribution of Strokes and this album (and their inclusion on all the Rolling Stone lists) are the result of huge huge payola.

And, you know.. I kind of liked The Strokes. I mean, I own their first album, and there are some killer tracks on that, but all in all, I found them almost too "hip" to truly enjoy. They were the epitome of the NYC scene-sters/hipsters for a time. I think that's why it took me until last year to really 'discover' Is This It.

Honestly, hearing the live version of Julian's single now, it's not quite as bad as I originally said it was. I guess you have to be in the right mood to listen to druggy dance music.

I might be able to dig it one day, who knows? I could put his stuff in a mixtape with some Scissor Sisters or something. I don't know.

I'm really enjoying this album. It's catchy like the strokes and it doesn't have all that many beeps and boops.

I like it too. Dig that zany banjo solo in Ludlow Street! It takes more risks and succeeds far more than the third Strokes LP. I do hope that they reconvene for a fourth album though; solo projects can help keep the individual members happy and whet the appetite for working collaboratively again.

This is a catchy record, and I take back most of my more negative-leaning comments, but you have to understand.. it IS fricking weird on first listen. It inhabits you though.. like an infectious disease.
